Where can you find an authentic ice cream factory complete with a soda fountain and
sweet shop featuring "Candies from the Past"? You can enjoy all this at Marcy's Ice
Cream and Candy Store located at 24401 Hawthorne Boulevard in Walteria, Ca.
Homemade ice cream and candies are their specialty. Other temptations include their
chocolate dipped strawberries, fine chocolates, ice cream cakes and pies. You can also
call Marcy's for special orders at (310) 373-2292.
When Randy and Karen Curtis took Karen's father, Pete Billings of Torrance to Marcy's
Ice Cream Factory, Pete found an almost forgotten taste treat still obtainable here in
Walteria. the art of making a thick, rich pineapple milk shake is alive and well at this
unpretentious little sweet shop. Karen and Randy enjoyed a strawberry ice cream cone
and some old fashioned hard licorice buttons. It was a real blast to the past!
Pete has been taste testing the pineapple milk shake. Perhaps he is comparing it to the
ones he used to enjoy at the Superior Dairy in Hanford, California where years ago, he
would frequent this now famous landmark of Kings County. Can it measure up to the
remembrances of yesteryear?

Fuddruckers touts itself as having "The World's Greatest Hamburgers". Well, if the
burgers here aren't the best you've ever had anywhere, you only have yourself to blame.
You see, all the best ingredients are available to make the burger to end all burgers. By
taking the cooked to order patties through the produce and condiment bar, you can
construct your own World's Greatest in the time it takes to say "two dozen Mother
Fuddrucker's Cookies, please".
